Crooked Garden Testimonials:
4.04.10
Dear Jim, Judy, and volunteers;
The Crooked Garden is very special to me. Our friends placed a bench in my
husbands memory.
I love the location, and when the Hackberry tree matures, it will give shade,
and I know he would love that!
Keep up the good work.

The following letter is a "School Report" written by a 9 year old 5th
grader.
When Ingrid Schwartz visits her grandparents, Julie and Don Schwartz, in Pelican
Preserve,
The Crooked Garden is a highlight of her visit.
Needless to say, Ingrid received an "A" on her "Report!
By the way, the comment at the end of the report was written by her teacher.

Dear Jim [Crooked Garden Curator]
"Just a note to tell you how much we all enjoyed our visit to the Crooked
Garden last week [Nov. 12, 2008].
The morning far exceeded our expectations. The three of you [Robert
Cranor, Judy Weil, and Jim Price]
were most informed and gracious.
The work you have put in there is quite obvious. I think you should all feel
it's been very worth while.....
I have sown the seeds that you shared with us, and am looking forward to
butterflies of my own.
Many, many thanks."
Sincerely,
Peggy Rutledge

Dear Crooked Garden Curator,
Thought that you would like to see the nice things that
Bob Pyle had to say
about our Crooked Garden. We agree!
Herb & June Tietzer
[excerpts from a recent personal letter]
"...And I want to let you know that I visited the Crooked Garden at Pelican
Preserve...I spent much of the day there, in the kind and attentive company of
Terry [Lollio], Robert [Cranor], and Jim Price, the curator. I logged twelve
species of butterflies, one of them new for me. It is one of the finest and
loveliest butterfly gardens that I have ever visited. That was a great trip, and
again I am thankful.
With all warm wishes,"
Bob Pyle

Dear Crooked Garden Curator,
I was talking to Patti's mom yesterday, and knowing that she loves
butterflies, I told her to check out your web site in advance of their
arrival this May, and this was her testimonial. I thought that you
might enjoy it.
[Pelican Preserve residents, Patti & Bill Van der have]
"Both Dad and I watched the butterfly garden website. Quite fabulous;
in fact I had to pass the website on to most
of my friends and relatives. Just couldn't keep the butterflies to
myself."
Thanks.
Love and hugs, MOM
